(Oct 16, 2015) Jim Clarke said:

Very frustrating evening with the Bayern team having learned lessons from the previous season. Their 11 men behind the ball tactics brought derision from the Kop and joyous German celebrations at the full time whistle. But lessons would be learned by the Reds for future years....

Despite the relatively "low" crowd. I seem to remember that the kick off was delayed due to excessive numbers at the turnstiles just before kick off. (I was in the Annie Rd End crush!)

The highlight of the night for me was at half time when George the stadium announcer stated that one lucky supporter would have an all expenses trip to the second leg as one programme contained a golden page. In a flash a large cheer went up and around 10,000 programmes were being waved in the air on the Kop all claiming to be the winner!

Hard to imagine these days the quick wittedness of the terrace and the fact that nearly everyone purchased a programme as part of the match day experience....
