The following Saturday Liverpool won 4:0 against Fulham at Anfield. All the goals came in the second half. Steven Gerrard scored the first after his penalty had been saved. Jamie Carragher scored the second after an hour. Luis Garcia added a third goal soon after. The scoring was rounded off by Mark Gonzalez in the last minute. The result left Liverpool in 4th position in the Premier League on 28 points after 17 matches; 16 points behind leaders Manchester United.
